This is a dessert competition, not a formal baking show. Expect a fun, casual atmosphere where contestants bring their best homemade pie or dessert and our judging panel gets the extremely difficult job of deciding which entries come out on top.
Some people will show up with a recipe that’s been in their family for generations. Others will show up convinced their cheesecake is unbeatable. We support both types of confidence.
Either way, somebody gets bragging rights. Everybody else gets dessert. We consider that a pretty successful day.

How Will the Desserts Be Judged?
A panel of judges will taste the entries and select the winners, considering flavor, texture, presentation and overall deliciousness. There’s no complicated scoring system that requires an accounting degree.
Make something really good. Try not to eat half of it before you arrive. Our judges will handle the rest.
Why Living North Phoenix Hosts Community Events
Living North Phoenix exists to connect people, businesses and the community. Sometimes that means sharing local news, recommending a great restaurant or helping someone find a local business. Sometimes it means getting everyone together over pie.
