Loving Our Time at the Loving Hut in Glendale, AZ

By Nikki Ballin

Are you looking for a new spot to grab lunch or dinner? Loving Hut in Glendale, AZ has become a favorite of mine. Yes, it’s a 100% vegan restaurant, but don’t let that intimidate you—meat eaters love it too.

Before I continue, are you subscribed to the Living North Phoenix Newsletter? This is the best spot to find out the latest things to do in North Phoenix, restaurant reviews (like this), and stay informed about North Phoenix!

And, did you see my last review about Sasa? Check it out here and learn why it should be on your foodie list (the baklava is awesome.

I went vegan about five years ago for health reasons, and discovering places like Loving Hut has made that journey so much easier. It’s a joy finding vegan-friendly restaurants in Phoenix, and this one’s a real standout.

First Impressions: Bright, Friendly, and Family-Oriented

As soon as you walk through the door, the vibe is light, bright, and plant-filled. They even have a cozy kids’ corner with a comfy chair and books—making this one of the more family-friendly vegan restaurants in Glendale.

There’s also a fun little retail section with vegan cookbooks and merch, and the staff is incredibly helpful if you’re not sure what to order.

Let’s Talk About the Menu (It’s Huge!)

Whether you’re into burgers, rice bowls, or something Asian-inspired, Loving Hut’s menu has you covered. A few favorites:

  • Blair’s Pick: The Hawaiian Burger
A meatless burger topped with grilled pineapple, sautéed onions, mushrooms, and teriyaki sauce.
Pro tip: Get the seasoned fries on the side. Thank us later.

  • Nikki’s Favorites:
Golden Vermicelli – Rice noodles with meatless beef, crispy egg rolls, fresh salad, and homemade vermicelli sauce.

Ask for their house-made hoisin sauce on the side.
Spicy Cha Cha – Shrimpless protein with bell peppers, onions, celery, and sweet + sour sauce. Best with a side of brown rice.
They also have a big beverage menu—try the Thankful Thai Tea or Loving Limeade.

Giving Back: Why This Place Feels So Good

What makes Loving Hut even more special? They support Better Piggies Rescue, a local nonprofit that cares for rescued pigs (and even a few cows). They donate and volunteer regularly, which makes supporting them feel even better.

Final Thoughts

Whether you’re vegan, curious, or just hungry, Loving Hut is worth the drive. It’s one of the most welcoming, delicious, and community-minded plant-based restaurants in Glendale. Give it a try—you might love it too.
