Living North Phoenix isn’t just a Facebook group. It’s a growing local community built on connection, support, and action.
Our mission has always been simple: strengthen North Phoenix neighborhoods and create meaningful impact. In 2024, one major focus became clear — supporting the senior community across North Phoenix.
That’s how Senior Smiles was born.
What Is Senior Smiles?
Senior Smiles is a community outreach initiative created through Living North Phoenix to support senior living communities in North Phoenix.
After hearing from local residents and recognizing areas of need, one thing stood out: seniors deserve more moments of joy, engagement, and connection.
We may not be able to change every circumstance.
But we can create experiences.
We can show up.
And we can bring smiles.
Senior Smiles was created to do exactly that — partner with local senior communities and host uplifting events that bring residents, families, and staff together.
And our first event exceeded every expectation.
Our First Senior Smiles Event at Park Terrace in North Phoenix
For our inaugural initiative, we partnered with Park Terrace, a senior living community conveniently located near I-17 and Greenway in North Phoenix.
After connecting with their Activities Director through the Living North Phoenix Facebook community, we asked a simple question:
“Can we host a foam party for your residents?”
The answer came almost immediately: YES.
And what happened next was unforgettable.
A Foam Party That Brought Joy to North Phoenix Seniors
The beautiful Park Terrace grounds — complete with putting greens, croquet areas, a pool, and even pickleball courts — became the setting for a one-of-a-kind foam celebration.
Residents, families, and staff gathered together as foam filled the space with laughter and excitement.
The smiles said it all.
From great-grandparents to visiting family members (and even a few pups), the energy was contagious. It wasn’t just an event — it was a memory.
