Every month, Living North Phoenix recognizes someone who didn’t just talk about being a good neighbor—they proved it through their actions.
This month, we’re honored to recognize Brandon Loveless.
It started with a post no family ever hopes to write.
A mother in our community reached out on behalf of her family during an incredibly difficult season. Her husband had recently been diagnosed with lung cancer and was undergoing treatment at HonorHealth. His illness had cost him his job, and the family was facing eviction.
As they rushed to move their belongings into storage before being locked out, their 2006 Infiniti QX56 overheated and broke down. They suspected a serpentine belt or cooling system issue, and the air conditioning had already stopped working.
She wasn’t asking for someone to repair the vehicle for free.
She had just graduated from the University of Arizona, was caring for her husband while raising their daughter with significant special needs, and simply hoped someone knowledgeable could help her understand what needed to be fixed so she could do the repairs herself.
Without transportation, the family risked having nowhere to go.
The post quickly reached more than 7,600 people throughout the Living North Phoenix community.
Dozens of neighbors offered prayers, encouragement, and words of support.
Then Brandon stepped in.
“Where are they at? I have a pretty stacked schedule but I’ll fit them in today.”
No hesitation.
No conditions.
No expectation of recognition.
Just a willingness to help a family in crisis.
Sometimes the smallest sentence says the most about a person’s character.
The response from the community was immediate. Neighbors thanked Brandon, shared his business with others, and praised him for stepping up when someone needed help the most.
That’s the kind of reputation that isn’t built through advertising.
It’s built through action.

The Living North Phoenix Good Neighbor Award exists to recognize the people who quietly make our community a better place.
It isn’t about social media popularity, business promotions, or who gets the most attention.
It’s about recognizing the neighbors who choose compassion over convenience and action over words.
Every month, we’re reminded that North Phoenix is filled with people who genuinely care about one another. Brandon’s willingness to help a complete stranger during one of the hardest moments of their lives is exactly what this award was created to celebrate.
